Ep 180 – The French Revolution Pt 1

King Louis XVI of France was beheaded by guillotine on January 21, 1793 – a pivotal event in (the often quite unsafe) birth of modern liberal democracy.

In part one of our look at the French Revolution, the Wrong Boys examine the events leading up to the death of the king (and the birth of the French First Republic), and try to grapple with what these events mean today for those of us who want to make the world a better place.
